An adult being "knocked sideways" by a rude comment from a child. Well that is pretty damned sad isn't it? One would hope that an adult, would actually be an adult, and as an adult one could not so easily be "knocked sideways".

...It is patently obvious, that the "guardians of the public's health", of all kinds, have some sort of perverse agenda...

What I've seen help people who are most stressed by feeling different (not normal etc) - like the person I was speaking about above, but many others too - is realising what you wrote Apple - that there's an agenda (money and power) behind labeling people as 'not-normal'. For the particular woman I was speaking about above, it really helped when she realised how much money was invested in making her feel bad about her body shape.
The other thing that helped of course - back to what I originally wrote - was that she was completely wrong to feel that she had the unusual body. I found a way to show her some photos of ordinary people (i.e. not models) standing clothed then naked (just standing - not suggestive in any way). She could start to see that what she'd previously seen as normal didn't really exist.
By the way - for the avoidance of doubt here. I'm not, as Sunshine1 said "from"
www.isja.org.uk - like employed by some big health agency or something. It's the other way around. This website is "from" me. I run it voluntarily to try to put people who are thinking about these kinds of issues in contact with one another - across the many divides that exist.
