Curves Membership

Just in case you want to join Curves, as the position themeselves to women only. I sent them an E-Mail with the following question:

"Women are welcome at your premises. What about Transsexuals?
What about Intersexuals? Can they be members too at your club?

Curves International does not attempt to interpret state and local laws regarding gender exclusion or inclusion in membership facilities. Our franchises are 100% independently owned and operated, and as such, franchise owners must make membership decisions based on gender that are consistent with their state and local laws.

So far so good. I only thought that the discrimination act is Federal Law?
