I find you people to be somewhat defensive, that you leap to conclusions generally speaking, do not apologize when proven in error. Maybe that too has something to do with why the man from New Zealand was "booted?" I came here to discuss one topic, because it caught our attention and we thought it rather strange. Klinefelter's syndrome is about infertility and does need fixing. I have prepared the below comment for the rest of your message: Yes he is from New Zealand. I don't see him make videos about himself, he makes videos and shares information about Klinefelters. He is the reason I started looking far more earnestly into XXY and KF. The statement Dr Silber made about the only true effect of KF is correct when viewed from the perspective of what Klinefelters actually does, this is the issue the man from New Zealand has with Dr Silber's video. The genetics that lead to Klinefelter's has far reaching effects but not as Klinefelters itself. Klinefelter's really is only about infertility and all the other issues are about the additional X chromosome(s) and when expressed that way the man from New Zealand and Dr Silber agree. For a medical doctor to say what he said he is right, for the general public and how they understand Klinefelter's he is not right. Other people were very offensive in their messages to Dr Silber, and the man from New Zealand was particular and not offensive at all. Personalities come in here I expect. I have shared with you information from PubMed where you can make your own searches. In passing I noted one report about transsexuals who had genetic testing, and 2.9% had genetic abnormality. It is not standard practice to check transsexuals for genetic abnormality and the paper concluded there isn't substantive reason to check transsexuals for genetic abnormality. The man from New Zealand has shown how he can put parts of his medical record online, on videos, I have my video with Dr Silber. I take on board his point that people who claim to have KF and are transsexuals never provide definitive proof they have KF. As they are happy to provide definitive proof they are transsexual one must ask why that is? The man from New Zealand says "I accept they exist, they don't need to make excuses as to why they exist, or borrow from other peoples devastating illnesses to justify their existence." Academically it's an interesting topic. In reality it has no effect on me or my wife at all. It is a commercial advertising video, yes we rehearsed it. Originally it took hours to make and many obvious cuts are viewable, because the microphones fell off, because clothing interfered with the sound recording, because the technicians couldn't hear anything, all sorts of things went wrong CC. I don't think you can challenge Dr Silber's figures. He's reporting the men he sees. He doesn't select them, they select him as we did. If a mans testicles are very small 1mL or less, they have a 60% possibility of having sperms in them, and a 0% possibility of having sperm in their ejaculate. Overall of the men he sees with Klinefelters 85% on average have sperms in their ejaculate or in their testicles extracted by microsurgery. The websites about KF generally don't go into that kind of detail and some of them were written before TESE & ICSI was widely known about. I think Dr Silber would not falsify his claims, he is a professional fertility specialist, his reputation is extremely important. G.R.C.N.W. |
