I did the full 23andme package from a year or two ago when the had it for $99. The first thing it said when I logged when i got my results back in was that they couldn't determine my sex and had me go though a ton of crap and answer a bunch of questions from the lab. They are only looking for gene sequences and specific things. If you happen to have something different then it basically doesn't work.
My results are interesting as I have both male and female results listed and percentages for everything. Other people and my family who did it do not have them ( unless they change their sex on the site ).
