Hugs
Bon Sauvage,
I feel for you, and understand your story most intimately.
I was born with ambiguous sex organs in the 60's. Though It has now been shown that I am a chimera that is allergic to testosterone, My Father wanted a boy, so I was assigned a male and genital surgery was performed to make this a reality. When I turned 14, I still hadn't shown any male secondary sex characteristics, (Voice change, beard or body hair development), though I had begun to develop tiny breasts, and suddenly began to show blood in both my stools and my urine. I was hospitalized for 8 weeks had a bunch of abdominal tests run, then a bunch of sedated endoscopic procedures where I was kept on a clear liquid diet and was constantly kept clean through 4timea day enemas. At this time I was also given mystery shots and suddenly entered a short male puberty where i developed a little bit of facial and body hair, and my voice dropped. I later found out I was given testosterone injections to simulate puberty. When I came out, they explained my menstrual cycle to me as gastritis for the cramps, and hemorrhoids for the monthly bleeding and told me I would just have to live with it. So that's what I did, confused, angry and unhappy. As a side note though, it was the US Army that first caught the chimerism when they blood typed me as both b negative and a positive.
At the age of 40 my male parts stopped working, so my doctor put me on testosterone injections, and I instantly started having seizures. This is when they investigated further and told me I had a uterus and ovaries and a cervix and all the female sex organs. On That day I transitioned And Have become much happier.
I hope you can find a happy path for yourself too.
With Love,
Priscilla
