Question How to find out whether i'm intersexed

I'm a 19 year old begining to question whether i was born intersexed and given surgery. I recently identifyed as an FTM trannyboy but i wonder. I can't imagine that my parents would have done that and never told me, but if a doctor told them it was the right thing to do? Maybe. Basically my genitals look cut up and i have next to no sexual feeling. I really would rather my parents didn't find out i was wondering becuase if i am wrong- well its a horrible thing to think they would do.

Post hope all is well

Hi,
Read your post and pondered your post.
I too was never told of my being out of sorts.
I am an individual who seeks only answers like you of being IS .
I went to my parents and asked them about why I was IS but it seemed like they did not have the answer I was looking for.

My brother use to beat the crap out of me, growing up because I was IS. I do not know if it scared him or he thought I was bi.
I have never told my sister of me being IS, she knows but she don't really want to know.
I have only told others of being IS and most do not understand. Then there are a few who want to be my best friend.
At times being around my family makes me feel even more left out of life for being IS. I know that there are Individuals in the world who could be a friend rather being like a bug on the wall.
So I have pondered this IS issue for a long time and I still do not have the answers I seek. I hope you find your answers you seek in life.

Have a Nice day !

yes you can find out

Hi Alex, first I will tell you, that a bad circumsision could be your answer for being cut up and little stimulation. one trait you make look for is your rib cage boys have a free floating rib and girls do not. Now this is not 100% accurate either. some other lines you may follow is a search of your medical records from birth. If your lucky and get them, you will know the answer to your questions. This your parents would not have any knowledge of you doing. If you are intersexed you may have problems getting them. Just remember they are your records and you have the right to inspect them at anytime. If you are still unsuccsesfull in that , then you will need to go deeper into it, feel free to email me and I will try to help you

intersexed

Hi Alex
My name is Connie and I was born intersexed (CAH) my parent never let me know till this day still unspoken and I am 56 years old - just recently my 77 year old aunt mentioned something to me - I guess they were ashamed and uneducated and agreed to the surgeris (2 of them) one at birth and one at 5 years old - but I still can't believe that parents who loved me so much and they did - never found it in their hearts to sit me down and explain - I have sooooo many questions and I questioned someone one day about intersexed people and they lead me to this website and Betsy has been a godsend to me - she has been patient and answered all of my questions and I went to a workshop of hers and Janet and I could not believe that I was at a place where I should have been years ago
I wish you luck to find all your answers
Connie

Lightbulb Re: yes you can find out

Requesting records from any hospital can be impossible, regarless of whether or not they are accurate. Records are often altered "for the protection of the family". Chromosomes don't help, as women with XY have given birth to perfectly healthy babies...and the list of problems goes on. My mother knows the truth, and that is why my father tried to kill me when I was just a few months old. I would suggest going to a GOOD family physician and bring up the subject, as I already have done...and stay away from HMOs.
