Hi Everyone! New Kid on the block here!

Hi everyone, I'm new to the BLO and I just wanted to introduce myself. I am person with a type of androgen deficiency (probably low grade PAIS) and other non-typical features from my research and I have a female gender identity. I was referred to BLO by ISNA like many of you and I just want to say that it is really nice to have people like you were we can discuss our intersex conditions without people looking at you like your some freak.
I was just wondering if any of you out there with the androgen deficiencies/low grade PAIS and with a female gender identity and ANYONE would be willing to discuss with me about their lives ,possibly hormone therapy, transitioning, surgeries and their relationships with people.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Thanks again to all of you and God Bless!!

You don't need a referal to be on this forum.

hiya, a friendly hello

hiya hegima, prairie coconut, thats an interesting phraise? but anyways, just saying hello and welcome to BLO.

about the only advice i can offer you is on hormone therapy or advice on for transitioning female. here goes, TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR. Canada is a great deal better at dealing with hormone therapy then the good old US, for IS, and TS people. So I really can't say much more then that. That is unless you have some specific questions. I can't really do much more then say, be honest, when you talk with people, tell the ones you think may need to know. Or share with others as you see fit. I personally have had a fairly easy time with acceptance within my local community, well that is as long as there not doctors. Really people seem to be rather nice, or just curious. Some even say they find me inspiring, but i generally consider myself a basket case most of the time. Anyways, good luck, post some more, or send a pm if you have any specific questions. oh and im xy/xo, CAH, true hermaphrodite.

Definitely since you're in BC, talk to a Doctor. Otherwise, if you have specific questions...

Hello, welcome

Not quite sure what you're asking for in your message
Quote:
hormone therapy, transitioning, surgeries and their relationships with people.
Have you found out what type of intersex condition you have yet?... it can all be quite confusing at first can't it? I have an androgen insensitivity syndrome, I'm told CAIS but something still doesn't quite add up... I think it's actually 6/7 PAIS but nobody ever bothered to find out for sure.
I've just asked to see an endocrinologist having visited this site for the past year.... if you still have unresolved queries, I thoroughly advise persistance... in my experience nothing is volunteered even if they already know the answer!!!
But I'm not sure what you mean by transitioning... do you mean you have gender identity issues?

Sorry if I'm being too personal...
