Hello,

As you may know, the forthcoming edition of Our Bodies,
Ourselves--the women's health "bible"--will for the first time ever
feature information on intersex. I'm working with the section editor
to produce material that is factually accurate, sensitive, and
reflective of people's experiences.

The style/format of the new edition will be shorter and less
"belabored" than in the past, with quotes from everyday people about
a variety of subjects. Each section will be fairly brief, but will
link to a companion website which will contain many more references,
citations, papers, websites, etc.

I'm writing to ask if you would be interested in participating in any
or all of three ways:

1) sharing aspects of your story to be featured in a small sidebar,
or pull-out quote
2) sharing references/citations you know of that readers of OBOS
should read/see
3) suggesting important facts, issues that should not be left out of
this section, especially as intersex relates to women's health issues
more broadly

If you'd like to help in any of these ways, please send material
and/or suggestions to me via email by December 1.
