You are receiving this email because you have an account at <www.intersex-awareness-day.org>, the web forum for planning
the Intersex Awareness Day 2004. It's almost March already,
and we want to decide the name and date of the event soon.

Currently there is a proposal to set October 26 (or the
weekend preceding October 26) as the date of international
action for intersex activism, because it is the date on
which the first-ever public demonstration by intersex
activists and allies (ISNA/Hermaphrodites With Attitude
and Transexual Menace, to be specific) back in 1996.

To join the discussion, come and voice your opinion on

We will wait for two weeks (until March 13) and declare
October 26 as the day of intersex action if there are no
other proposal by then; if there are other proposals, we
will create a poll on the page, and wait another two weeks.
Either way, we will have the decision by the end of the
month.

Next on the agenda is the name for the event. I have created
another thread where the discussion over the name can take

My personal choice is "The Day Against Shame & Secrecy," but
we would like to hear your opinion! Please come to the Forum
by March 13 and make your voice heard. All candidates for the
name will be entered into the poll, and we'll vote on it,
reaching the decision by the end of the month. That way, we
will have both the date and name of the event by the end of
March.

If you have any difficulty with the Forum, feel free to email
me for assistance. Alternatively, you can email me your
suggestion for the date or the name, and I'll post it for you.
